The Corona home studio

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, several concerts by the Auner Quartet were canceled or postponed from March to October 2020. However, some organizers asked the quartet to replace the concert appearances digitally; among others the Austrian Cultural Forum Bratislava, the Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin; and the Wiener Konzerthaus also gave the quartet the opportunity to digitally make up for the canceled debut concert on May 6, 2020 as part of a Moments Musicaux performance.

We would like to make some of these recordings made at the orivate home with of the violinists Daniel and Barbara available for you to listen to. These are the recordings that were made in lockdown, one day after the strict regulations were lifted, and the rehearsals were still with mouth and nose protection. The devices used were simple microphones and a Go-Pro camera, which the musicians each owned privately. Enjoy the private insight into the life of musicians during the Corona crisis and please be understanding that we are not sound engineers.

Works by WA Mozart, E. Wellesz 'String Quartet No. 5, Johanna Doderer, Alexander von Zemlinsky's String Quartet No. 1 and L.v. Beethoven's Heiliger Dankgesang from Op 132 are available.
